I think our first attempt to try a breakfast place in our dear Portland was successful! Every one loved the food. Look forward to the next one in two weeks!

Just started thinking …, looks like I used to like breakfast starting when I am kid only! I remember waking up early at home (in India), waiting for Indian style breakfast (Mainly Idli and chutney ), to be prepared by Mom. Then I went to Junior college, where I was in Dorms (we call Hostel in India), there also I used to like breakfast a lot. Then I went on one year – to Chennai – for preparing IIT Engineering entrance examination – there also I used to wake up very early like 6 AM and used to eat a lot of Tamil Nadu special : Sambar Idly. Same interest continued at IIIT-Hyderabad, then in nVidia-Bangalore . But not much of a chance for a good breakfast at UNC-Chapel hill! I was little constrained by money matters and time at UNC! After coming to Intel-Portland, everything changed back to the good breakfast days! Adding to that Portland is famous for many good breakfast places! I thought I should start writing a blog about various Breakfast places I try/tried in Portland. Look for my first post on this series!

Just now, I wanted to listen to music, so opened up my iPhone – thinking about which playlist to choose. It occurred to me that – I wanted to play two play lists as one. I was like – why can’t I tell my iPhone to combine these two play lists for this time? or let me choose a hierarchically one above these two playlists  - or even better just let me choose any combination of playlists!

“Kshana Kshanam” is a telugu movie. If you know telugu language, spoken in south eastern part of India, Andhra Pradesh – you should definitely watch this movie. Amazing comedy – screen play – dialogues – direction, and especially Sridevi’s action. Her role is very simple, but she just lived in that role. It is quite memorable movie, particularly  the scenes/dialogues with hero (Venkatesh) and heroin (Sridevi) are just amazing!

I was thinking … how would I double my performance.  It is kind of mundane to work whole day. So I came up with this option of thinking/imaging/making  a day as two. It is like in the evening I come home little early. Take some rest, get fresh again – go back to work and work until 12 or so, come back and sleep. I am sure many do like this already … but how realistically you make it look like two days in your mind is the point. End result – all matters is – have you double your performance? Let me see.. how well I implement this!

Of late, I am listening to a lot of old and new music. Some music is giving me a lot of happiness and motivation, which made me realize that music has power. I also started appreciating musicians and their talents to produce such nice music. It feels good to know that humans have talents in various arts!
